Q1. Does this AC unit evaporate automatically and doesn't need to be drained?

A: This Portable ac unit built-in water self-evaporation system, there is no need to drain water for daily use, the water will automatically evaporate through hose.. If it is placed in a humid environment, it may need to be drained every 8h, otherwise the unit will go into "HL code" shutdown, prompting you to connect a hose to drain the water.You can also contact the seller to send you a free drain hose via the aftermarket email in the manual if needed.

Q2: Can it swing automatically?

Yes, it can automatically swing from side to side between 55 and 135 degrees, but the up and down winds can only be adjusted manually between 0 and 85 degrees. Note: You need to manually open the front guide louver before starting the ac unit.
